Plan the PA around the event.
A PA purchase is easier to evaluate when you have a clear brief for the events it needs to serve.

Write the event brief
Record your intended venues, indoor or outdoor use, speech or music requirements, and expected audience. These are inputs for a supplier discussion, not a guarantee that a particular speaker will cover every event.
List your sources
Count the microphones, instruments, playback devices, and DJ outputs you need to connect. Check whether a separate mixer is required for that arrangement.
Include power and transport
Plan for available power, safe setup space, cases, stands, cables, and loading access. A complete budget covers more than the loudspeakers.
Verify before buying
Use the exact model’s manual and seek a suitable demonstration or rental where possible. Check the seller’s return terms before making a purchase.
Sources and further reading
Verify the exact model, current specifications and compatibility before purchasing.
