Confirm the exact format

Check the plugin formats supported by your DAW, and which formats the product supplies. Confirm versions and architecture in the developer’s current documentation.

Check the license conditions

Look for activation limits, account or hardware requirements, upgrade costs, and whether offline use is supported. A sale price may not tell you the full ownership cost.

Use a trial where available

Read the trial’s restrictions and use your own project to evaluate it. We do not make CPU or sound-quality claims for software we have not tested.

Keep a compatibility record

Save the product version, supported operating system, and purchase terms you relied on. Recheck compatibility before a major software or system update.

Sources and further reading

Verify the exact model, current specifications and compatibility before purchasing.
